Jean Patiky is a Rhode Island based artist and arts educator.  Her watercolors reflect her fascination with light and how it changes seasonally and geographically.  Her body of work reflects her many years of travel in the United States, Europe and Iceland.  While living in Miami for over thirty years, the tropical light and intensely saturated colors were a source of inspiration and watercolor became her preferred medium. Upon relocating back to New England, the seasonal landscapes and light changes continues to inspire her. She was honored to be invited to lend her series of paintings, “Windows on Rhode Island” to hang in the Washington DC office of Senator Sheldon Whitehouse for a year. Jean is an award winning artist member of the Providence Art Club where she regularly exhibits.  In 2000, she launched her business, Patiky Hand-Signed Art cards which have been used as corporate gifts, and have been sold at the various venues including the Garden Gift Shop at the MFA Boston’s “Art in Bloom”, INSTORE@Longhouse, the Pollock-Krasner House Gift Shop, both in East Hampton, NY. They are currently also available at Lynne Goldman Elements, Charlottesville, VA and Reliable Gold, Ltd. Providence RI. Corporate clients include Flight Options, The Moorings Village Resort, and the Peabody Hotels, and the Armory Revival Company. Resume
